Dumbass move. He's leaving a lifetime contract gig in a gorgeous place for a job in a relative shithole where they will fire you for going 9-3 regularly.

He’ll still get a really good job again even if he fails at Alabama. And by fails, I mean gets fired after going 9-3. He’s gonna make a boatload of cash and be a king. No reason not to take that job.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I'm sorry, but this is nuts. Some may stay at Az, but 9 players in 30 minutes ?

Arizona is now the latest of the bunch to be impacted by the coaching changes. The Wildcats, who join the Big 12 next season, lost nine players in 30 minutes to the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday.

Yeah it really is fucked up. There needs to be time limits on players AND coaches to make decisions about going somewhere else. It’s the Wild West and bad business.

I have no idea what should be done now that the cat is out of the bag. Maybe a little foresight would have helped tho it appeared to be poorly thought out from the beginning.
Maybe the school that gets the player should provide some compensation to the school that the player left.
How about a 2nd string QB and cash to the player's previous school. Lol

Or people can go to whatever school they want to. Why should purported student-athletes be any different?

Sure, why not.
Stop spending money on recruiting HS kids and if they attend the school give them money, based on performance incentives, after the season

There are viable solutions to the transfer portal stuff. The most obvious one - that for certain reasons seems to be a non-starter - is that you let schools pay players under multi-year contracts and give both sides legal recourse.

You could also view scholarships more like a salary cap and assess penalties against cap space for transfers in or out. Or just make every scholarship a minimum of 2 years regardless of whether the kid is still there - that would at least encourage schools to invest in kids beyond a season.

Put me in the camp of not really giving a shit about the landscape and giving more of a shit about our administration and coaching staffs to navigate and win in whatever landscape we find ourselves in.

Total asshole but great college coach.

Next year is a 12 team playoff but Michigan’s schedule is crazy hard:

Texas
USC
At Washington
Oregon
At Ohio State

I’d say win or lose Harbaugh is done.  He’s not gonna stay with the easy street Michigan has been on for years ending

Wow looks like Dom was AOTC for the first time ever
