Hopefully Justin Fields. Looks like you’ve ran everybody off…

Sorry the Justin Fields debate hits everyone in their soft little feels.

The contract alone makes this a no brainer. If they keep him, means Poles is actually as idiotic as I have claimed.

If you fall for the “gotta have a quarterback on a rookie contract” narrative, which is lazy in this case. Lazy analysis. The Bears are not a slave to the rookie deal. They have money. That was the whole point of the tank. But people who fall for basic tropes dont get it.

Show me which team “won the Super Bowl because of the rookie contract.”

In pretty much every case, the team was already built. Besides maybe the Mannings, I don’t see any teams that weren’t built after the fact.” Like say the current Jaguars.

So 6 in 30 years, if you count Wentz. And Mahomes, Beady, and Roethlisberger landed on a ready to win teams.

Fields’ contract the next two years is not prohibitive. Might not even be 3-4 years if he stayed that long. You could franchise him for two years

Unless the rookie QB is an immediate upgrade (huge if, no matter what you guys say) they’d actually be eating into a year or two window in which the team can win.

Jaylon Johnson says "Pay me."

The money/cap is not unlimited.

Why? He sucks. That would be stupid.

No one says it is. Cutting EJax and Whitehair pretty much pays for Jaylon Johnson next year. The Bears have money.

We heard about this same movie last year. Called Groundhog Day.

Coaches think they are so damn smart. That play call was far worse than Russell Wilson throwing the ball at the goal line in the SB IMO. Can’t have arguably the best RB in football on the sideline on 4th and 1 with the season on the line.

Your posts are Groundhog Day.

Look forward to the reruns of your posts about cap space and draft picks and the lack of need for linemen
