He seems to be the consensus guy right now. Obviously that could always change between now and April, 2024, right?

But what’s YOUR opinion? He the real deal?

I have no clue if there is some guy at New Mexico State or somewhere who has a bazooka and skills.  And I never would have picked Stroud, that's for sure....

My superficial analysis based on the 1st half:
Looks like he has a nice arm. Tonight he has thrown some balls up for his receivers to go up to pull down, which is concerning. Thought he may have held the ball a little too long on a couple of plays early. He looked like he panicked in the face of the rush, which is also concerning since it is against a team who does not have equal talent to USC. He settled down. Will see how he looks in the 2d half.

Also looks like he moves well in the pocket. But this is not a good performance for him tonight given the numbers.

Some questionable decision making, but he had one play where he was on the run and flicked his wrist and zoomed a pass. That was impressive.

Heard a woman on the radio saying Drake Maye is the best quarterback in the class, but what the fuck could
she possibly know!

The Bear traded up to grab a qb from UNC before anybody else could grab him.

Based on that lady's analysis, I think.

2024 CBS mock draft.

Round 1 - Pick 3
The Bear

Drake Maye QB
NORTH CAROLINA • SOPH • 6'4" / 230 LBS
Justin Fields' confidence has been shaken and there is a clear disconnect between he and the coaching staff. They opt to go in another direction.

Apparently their mock wasn’t updated in the last couple days.

There was a breakout last night at Folsom, starting sometime around 10pm Mountain Time.
Other than bruised egos there hopefully were no casualties.

Colorado has multiple problems. Offensive line is not good, QB Sanders is having to scramble big time to avoid sacks. Defensive backs are weak, not good tacklers, like the head coach when he played. Deion had problems just making a tackle on the tackling dummy at practice in his day.
Stanford isn't a good team but definitely took advantage of CU weaknesses after halftime last night.

I'm just glad i went to bed at halftime.  There's not enough depth and having to rely on some freshmen.  Shedeur and Hunter are the real deal though.
