Other than people in the position to make those decisions tho. 9 Democrats out of the 102 in the Md House co-authored the bill, and the Hennepin Cty Minnesota AG and the attorneys who agreed with her hold a similar position.

So less than 10% of Democrats support the bill. Sounds like the legislation has an excellent chance of passing.

It's a pretty safe bet that the nine D sponsors know the bill won't pass.

I'm sure the child of the 23 year old woman who was murdered point-blank in Minnesota by an impressionable kid, who faces juvenile detention to the age of 21, will be happy to know the law might not pass in Md.
All that's needed is an AG who thinks that brains may not be fully developed until the age of 25 if the legislature won't do it.

And it's probably just a coincidence that 2 states a 1000 miles apart have people thinking this way at the same time.

Let's see.  There's a teen suicide epidemic going on.  Granted, it's a complex problem that needs more than bumper sticker legislative solutions on either extreme.  That being said, I don't think that any form of suppression belongs in the tool kit.  It doesn't have a very good track record.   Beefing up the counseling services is a good place to start.
