Get a lot of the basics at Aldi, or Costco when I need a bunch of something. Both stores carry a fair amount of relatively healthy snack items for the kids.
I probably wouldn’t have a Costco membership if my company didn’t have some relationship with them where I get the executive membership for half price. I recently bought a new TV for the primary living space and the cash back alone almost paid for the membership for the year, plus I got the extra 3 year warranty and an upgraded backlit remote I wouldn’t have gotten had I purchased it anywhere else. And sometimes I just wanna go in there and slay a beef hot dog and drink for $1.50 while I look around. But it’s not my favorite place. I did get a same day grocery delivery from them the other day as I was in a pinch for time and their location is out of the way for me. I got a big container of Orgain, two huge bags of frozen wild blueberries and strawberries, a bunch of bananas (to make smoothies) and a couple other odds and ins delivered to my doorstep within 2 hours for $65 out the door.
I prefer to get meat from local farmers or the local old school butcher shop. I like to grow veggies in the summer months. Per Murph’s comment I’ve found lettuce doesn’t keep well, so I have to buy it from somewhere in the winter. Usually from the pizza place down the road that has an awesome salad bar and cheap beer.
