I was saying pre-covid, that Trump's great economy was largely bullspit. UE decline and low inflation were just continuations of previous trends. Trump et al tended to misrepresent his gdp growth. Corporations used the unique tax break to buy back stocks, artificially inflating the markets. P/E ratios predicted trouble ahead. Deficits ballooned. Covid was convenient, though I think coincident. Retrospection might tell us  there was an overreaction, or not.

A friend pointed out that humans seem to be hardwired for pattern recognition. This leads to things like synchronicity. Add in the inclination of some to be to be suspicious, we get complex conspiracy theories.
