Care to provide some evidence?  ABC, CBS, The Hill, BBC, CNN and others have published articles in the last few days noting the drop in crime rates.  These articles have also included supportive comments from the mayor.

I've seen a couple of articles where crime experts have suggested waiting another 3 weeks or so to report data in order to improve accuracy because the reporting of crime always lags.  One expert questioned how the National Guard troops were being deployed.  Another would like to see a breakdown of the arrests and how they are being processed.
