Reminds me of a story. About 40 years ago I was in NYC GCS with 2 guys. Now I was not small, 6-2 or 3 in shoes and about 185. The other two guys were bigger. One of them was an Olympic athlete.
We saw a thief using his cane to try and steal a woman's purse. So we approached in an intimidating manner and he had to back off.
The would be thief then approached a cop. He was pointing at us and waving his arms around and yelling.
Cop looks over at us and looks at the thief and shrugs, like whaddya expect me to do? Thief walked away all disgusted. He was doing his job, gets harassed by three tourists, and the cop did nothing.
It was fun getting around on the subway and ferry. Came across a few crazy people talking to nobody. Everyone just ignored them.
NYC reminded me of riding on an airplane and looking out the window.
