BTC as always

I'll admit I don't know how old their kids are  or if QAnon97 has any. Kids love straws.

DEI hires are the worst.

Does learning about the history of racism in the United States make you ashamed of your identity?

I can answer this one for him.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Spectacularly off-target.

My paternal side fled Germany to escape religious persecution in 1848-49, and my great great great grandfather enlisted and fought for four years in the Illinois Infantry Civil War.

My grandmother is a DAR and can trace her family’s American roots back to 18th century New England. Her side of the family also fled persecution.

No one in my family ever owned or condoned slavery, and actively fought against it for the entirety of our time here in America.

I’ve been a history and Civil War buff since I was in elementary school. I’m intimately familiar with American history, and I’ve no shame for being born white, unlike Tempo.

DEI hires suck, a lot of people that they are intended to further are embarrassed by them, and a lot of companies are moving away from them because they don’t add value to their organizations.

None of my ancestors ever had anything to do with slavery so I am guilt free.

Your family history means diddly-squat, but thanks for sharing.

Who could blame a company for cutting back on its DEI initiative in the current political environment.  SCOTUS affirmative action decision, anti-DEI bills, Republican AG harassment and social media firestorms are all part of a very predictable right-wing backlash.

But the DEI news isn't all bad. In fact, it's pretty encouraging.  Many companies still see the benefits and are carrying on with their programs or retooling them to better explain their purpose.

My family history means a lot in the context of Ray’s challenge.

Also, DEI still sucks, but I’m glad it got someone in your family a job they didn’t otherwise deserve.

DEI means some get jobs they deserve despite not being white males born on second base.

That was actually a standard objection to DEI.

We often don't recognize our own racial micro-aggressions

He’s proud of his family history and being white. Unlike me.

There isn’t a racist bone in his families’ history. It’s been researched.

None of my ancestors ever had anything to do with slavery so I am guilt free.

My ancestors were probably too poor to own slaves. But my dad being from Mississippi, I’m guessing they would have and did (if they could afford them, which they probably couldn’t). Wish my bloodline wasn’t so racist. Off to give myself 40 lashes.

I know of two Lady GaGa songs. Pokerface (though I couldn’t hum it), and Shallow (which is a good song).
