Dunno about the 1st part and he's not around to ask. But  I'm guessing he wanted to go where there would be tv cameras to film his last act.
He should have gone to Columbia instead of the protest area in front of the Trump trial. Maybe some of the Hamas at Columbia could have joined him.
I'm not sure that the school or workplace shooters, who shoot other people, would fit the profile of a person who just burns his/her ass to death.
