He boasted about entering the women's dressing rooms of beauty pageants he owned. He was found liable for sexual assault for grabbing a woman by her privates.

Elon Musk fathered 12 children by 3 partners. 11 survive. One is a transgender. Another is named X Æ A-Xii. He has a sister named Exa Dark Sideræl. Another sibling is named Techno Mechanicus. I am not making it up.

Contemporary American culture is corrupt, perverse, hyper sexualized, and weird. The left and right have both lost their collective right minds.

In theory, we have a free market, with restraints preventing monopolies plus regulations, social insurance and welfare to address the excesses and inequities.

So the decadent culture is at least partly a matter of the free market's invisible hand at work.

OTOH, I think we are trending more toward monopolism. The rotten culture might be more a product of mass marketing than free competition.

As far as culture, Madison Avenue and Hollywood are probably running things. And they target market an age group that does not include us. I never even heard of most of the contemporary country stars, let alone hip hop or metal.
