I don't understand the Jeremiah Williams take. He appears to be seriously damaged goods and Moretti is doing well in the weight room.

I wonder if something else is going on behind the scenes? Does this help them with Simeon? Is another ride opening up?

I don't like the idea of creaning players that are doing what they are asked to do.

Recruiting is the appetizer. The non conference games are the soup and salad bar. The B1G regular season is the main course. The B1G tournament is coffee. The NCAA tournament is dessert.

Another analogy. The B1G championship is the meat and potatoes. The NCAA tournament is the gravy.

So did Dom get ban-hammered, or is he just living up to the bet (thus far). Would at least be fun to hear a goodbye post lol
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I think they're equal. I'd trade the 00-01 title banner to get that team into the Final Four, but at the same time I really don't desire to have a ton of years where we suck in conference and kick into the Sweet Sixteen.

I gotta admit I didn't anticipate Tempo openly pining for Truth.

Maybe every year S16 would be worth sucking in the regular season?  IDK, but that isn't usually how it works.  Teams that had mediocre regular seasons make it to the second weekend every year, but no team does that consistently.

The best way to get to the S16 is to 1. be in the tournament and 2. have a high seed, which you're almost definitely going to do if you win a P5 league.   Doesn't guarantee success in the tournament as we found out recently, but it certainly helps your chances.  It's not like tournament success is totally unrelated to regular season success.

Bottom line: the notion that the ONLY thing that matters, period, is the single elimination NCAA tournament, and things like BTT titles, regular season conference titles etc. not only don't matter, but if you enjoy those things you're worthy of mockery, is a crazy notion that frankly sounds like an absolutely miserable way to watch sports.

Tempo is a known iconoclast. But this is out there.

I'm a little nutty, but I enjoy piling up wins during the regular season. I know, kinda crazy, but I like watching winning basketball from my Illini.

Agree. Want some success in every part of season.
A S16 before we all die would be nice.

Oh Jesus Christ, because sports message boards are such serious fucking business. I’d like to hear his excuses for why he was wrong (or in his case probably right). I have zero doubt I don’t care for Truth’s political opinions, but that lumps him in with 70% of the people here probably.

As far as his history as a sexual deviant, I don’t know if any of that has been substantiated. Has it? People make up narratives and run with them for years around here, I can attest to that. I personally enjoy a message board that isn’t group think.

Hahaha, your big angry rant really showed those people who think message boards are serious business.  Stuck it to me bud.

Sorry it makes you like this place less to have one less bad faith moron around, but it has simply never been a negative for a forum to not have truth posting on it, ever.

He had his chance to acknowledge he was talking out his ass when it became clear to everyone what was happening and he couldn’t do it.  That’s on him.
