“The losing,” ha they are 8-4. They’ve gotten very spoiled. Chiefs fans have always had an overinflated sense of grandiosity, I saw it firsthand when I lived there in the 90s and they hadn’t won anything in 30 years.

I would imagine that’s part of it for sure. He’s 34, not young by NFL standards, especially someone who relies on exceptional athleticism.

I think one of the issues was Ditka told someone (don't remember who) to not make a Chunky soup commercial because it would be a distraction. The player agreed not to. Ditka then was in a Chunky soup commercial, effectively stealing this guy's gig.

So, David Carr seems to think that the Eagles should bench Jalen Hurts for Marcus Mariota until Jalen is fully healthy.

Appears that David is worse at his job than his brother is at his. If Jalen had Covid and 2 broken legs, he should still start over Marcus fucking Mariota.

But, we should give some kind of credence to these fucking talking heads because they're in front of a camera.

When I quote a Troy Aikman or Dave Wannstedt it’s not because “OMG how could we not listen to them, they know everything!” I quote them to show that knowledgeable football people can have differing opinions. Just because HQ2 thinks it’s such a slam dunk that the Bears should fire Matt Eberflus and move on from Justin Fields doesn’t mean there aren’t credible people with differing opinions.

No one is saying we have to accept their opinions as unassailable. Just as some schlup on the 5th most popular Illini forum doesn’t have unassailable opinions, either. Reasonable minds can disagree.

This has not been your approach in the past. There have been many instances of someone here saying one thing, you bring up that a “football expert said this, and you can’t know more about it than this guy”.

But Troy Aikman has spent over 30 years in the NFL as HOF quarterback and probable HOF analyst, and for a few dudes on the HQ2 to say he’s “Obviously dead wrong on what to do about Justin Fields!” is a pretty laughable position. Again, reasonable minds can disagree. Time will be the judge of who’s right and wrong.
