I’m sure he’d be flattered - who wouldn’t be, we’re Illinois!
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Spark knows people. Especially Bill Self.
I don't think Bill Self would be remotely surprised or care to know that Illinois would want him back if he was interested, no.  I don't think sending a text accomplishes a single thing.  Does it hurt?  No.  You'll get laughed at, obviously, but it doesn't cost anything.  It's just a funny concept.  "Sure he'll laugh at you but what does it hurt to send a text?"  Nothing, it doesn't gain or lose a single thing.  It's totally meaningless.

I view this as someone who's seen the inner workings of high level CBB a little bit.  You view it as an Illinois fan, and never consider that not everyone sees that the same way you do.

If you'd stuck with that instead of your wild extrapolations I wouldn't have said anything.

You used a dating analogy - let's say you used to date this girl, nice girl, nothing bad to say about her.  You broke up with her, and she was upset about it for a long time.  She never found anyone else she liked as much.  Since then you've been in a relationship with one of the couple hottest girls in the school. Are you really going to be like "whoa, I'm so flattered" when that girl comes to you years later like "you want to try it again?"  Or are you going to kind of chuckle at the notion, which obviously cannot remotely surprise you?

It's just a funny concept.  Just send a text, maybe you'll flatter him!

Of course I’d be flattered. Or maybe I’d “laugh at her.” Who knows…

About 10 years ago I ran into a woman at Arlington Race Track that I dated when we were 18/19ish. Said she was recently divorced and indicated she’d like to see me. I wasn’t interested. I was however flattered.

So it appears that you’re not saying “zero percent,” but “1% is way too high!” Does 1/3 of 1% sound less laughable?

Certainly closer, yeah.

1% is about 2.5x the chances a given birth is twins, but I doubt if someone mentioned that the odds were low a pregnant woman would say "SO YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S ZERO CHANCE I HAVE TWINS!?"  I assume you've known a fair number of sets of twins.

I'm not sure what the odds really are, obviously, other than that it's both got a non-zero possibility of happening, and that the possibility of it happening is so low that it's barely worth discussing at all.

This is like the 15th time today you've made a claim about me that I'd previously explicitly said the opposite of - so I guess the answer to my "can you just try once" question is a resounding no.  You cannot argue without making things up that I've already directly contradicted and attributing them to me.

The things you said were “he would laugh at us. No chance.”

I went back and did a search for this quote.  I found three hits for the phrase "no chance".

The first two were me saying incredibly clearly, "I'm not saying there's no chance."  The third was this one where you attribute a quote to me where I said "there's no chance".

Perfect Tempo.

I'm serious now, because it's way less fun to argue with you when I have to defend all the shit I didn't say rather than the things I did say.

Can you please try, going forward, to not make shit up and attribute it to me while arguing?  To debate using only the things I actually posted?  You've done it literally probably 25 times today.

Was she Asian? If so, give Jobu her contact info.

I'm not saying there's "no chance," but 1% is laughably too high. And 1/3 of 1% probably still too high. But I'm not saying no chance.- Spark Mandrill

Or I should say "perfect Spark Mandrill." Quibbling over the most minute of minute details.

Dude. You literally scoffed at the idea Self could possibly do anything but “laugh at us,” and took issue with 1% fucking chance after you conceded there was a very small chance. What choice do i have but to make fun of that? “1% oh that’s way too high! But I’m not saying there’s no chance.” You literally seem offended by the idea Self could be flattered or even “super flattered” by being contacted by Illinois. JFC
