“Starting your own tour,” and “boycotting” aren’t the same thing.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Monahan is clearly a hypocrite and negotiated the deal. I’m not sure he counts. And the closest he said anything about blood money or Khashoggi (that I’m aware of) was “Have you ever had to be ashamed to be a PGA Tour player?”

In this case, of course the money won out. Who’s denying that?

He did cited 9/11 as well.

How does he not count? He runs the PGA.

He negotiated the deal. The players didn’t. Most of them are upset at him. And they make their living by playing on the Tour, so it’s not surprising they might be diplomatic.

If your firm took on Donald Trump as a client would you resign in protest and start your own law firm?

Here…

That's true. But you can a. boycott and go do something unrelated to the PGA/golf or you can b. boycott and start own league.

Aren't both under the "career suicide" umbrella of which you spoke?

Without Tiger, or literally a giant glob of the biggest stars a new league wouldn’t work.

If 6 or 8 of the top 12 players in the world started pulling out of events perhaps that would at least get a new PGA Tour CEO.

I could go to another firm too. I could start IlliniHQ3 and make millions like Dan at Loyalty.

There is no "other league" for them to go to is there? They would have to start their own league at this point.

Probably. As we saw, the LIV was not working out very well.

Much easier as a lawyer. Not many PGA Tours laying around to go play on.

The PGA was literally holding all the cards. Either Monahan sold out completely or lawsuits were going to drain more out of the PGA than they were willing to endure. Probably bit off more than they could chew by increasing prize money.

They were going to have to open their books. They did not want the "rank and file" to know what they were doing with all the money.

Certainly plausible.

The litigation issue was mentioned in Monahan's original statement.

September 11th was raised by the PGA Tour head, right, yet you said it would be career suicide to boycott.

As Judge Judy intimated, sounding like you agree that money talks and BS walks.

This. Tempo talks about their principles… until they reap the money. Fuck those hypocrites. At least golfers like Koepka, Mickelson, and others didn’t fucking bullshit people. They took the money and don’t look like fucking idiots/hypocrites/woke fucktards now.
Because FOX News told me so…
