It never occurred to me that twitter was good for anything except recruiting scoops.

I also never subscribed to the idea that googling a topic  was somehow doing actual research. It can be a useful tool to help  read up on something.

The biggest problem is there are so many self styled experts that wading through all the crap to find good info is challenging.

Everyone gets their news from The Twitter apparently. I get mine from Golf's memes posted here.
