Truth be told, Musk probably loses 0.00000001 cents per tweet. It's not a money making entity. If everyone started tweeting nonstop and took the servers down, the added use of twitter would cost Musk a lot. For no return.

What Tempo does do by using the platform, is keep it alive, which has negative consequences. I'd love to see X go the way of the dodo. The best result would be that it becomes just a distributed public service announcement spot - keep the National Weather Service, NOAA, transit agencies, etc... on it. The only time I pull up twitter now is to get info like that. The crowd source feature is nice when there is a natural disaster, but otherwise, it's shit.

This is my primary "social media" outlet these days - and it's probably for the best.
