Texas shot 47% from the line and won by 51.

I never said FTs “don’t matter.” But 3 guys, one a 270 pound big, the other two freshmen having an off night from the line on opening night isn’t really something that should cause “concern.” 

If they are a poor free-throw shooting team in January, then the “OMG free-throws” would be warranted.

Can you provide a specific date in January that it will be ok to be concerned about the Free Shot shooting?

Both teams in the 60% range for the game. MSU had more chances at the stripe. Few misses don't matter. Doubt Izzo worries about it.
