Walgreens closing left and right in California. You can't run a business when all of your merchandise walks out the door.
Newsome says the state won't do business with Walgreens.

Used to have 3 Walgreens in proximity here.  One closed last fall.  Paid a visit to another yesterday.  Total of 1 employee working the store from the backed up register and a long slow line at pharmacy.  I left without a purchase.  Maybe they should look in the mirror?  Other retail establishments are much better staffed.

I find going into a Walgreens or CVS to be a uniquely depressing experience and I’m not really sure why.

I’ve probably seen about 7 minutes total of Tucker Carlson and most of that was at the gym where I couldn’t even hear it.

Walgreens has shuttered two stores close to where I live.  Looks like we can expect more store closures in the future.

I don’t really consume much “news” because I’m convinced it’s basically a little bit of info mixed with a bunch of curated propaganda and advertising.

I had a subscription to the The Atlantic for a couple years in my Apple News but didn’t renew it last time. I get emails from the failing NYT with articles and op-ed pieces I can read and links to articles I can’t without paying.

If something really big happens I’ll hear about it, do some research, observe, and form my own opinions over time.

This is the part of the equation conservatives/Trumpers get right. The problem they have is drawing the right conclusions once they’ve figured this half of the equation out.

The Atlantic is good. Seems like they’d be a little on the progressive side for you. I subscribe to the failing NYT, but I also just procure my news/commentary from many different sources. I try to weed out what I know can’t/shouldn’t be trusted. One thing I know, if the person delivering your news makes many millions of dollars per year, you’re probably not consuming actual news.

I find it weird how some people think everyone needs to fit into nice little neat boxes. And how thinking certain ways about even mundane stuff ends up being political/partisan.

People do tend to have preconceptions about people and things they know next to nothing about. I am surprised you find that weird. Most are attached to fixed views and have a low tolerance for ambiguity.
