The right seems to get it politically right now, for the most part. They are attacking ideas; wokeism, CRT, open borders. When they attack people, it's unpopular people; criminals, the mentally ill, the homeless, and illegal immigrants.
The left attacks Hillary's deplorables -- the Maga Republicans. And the police. Defund the police has got to be stupidest slogan ever.
Talk about reforming law enforcement to make it more effective. Promote the re-funding of proven crime prevention programs that help people. Say you want to save our own children instead of locking them up.
But do not say you want to defund the police.
Republicans love to talk about offenders who were released due to bail reform and committed another crime.
How about telling the story of those who were locked up because they couldn't afford bail and wound up losing their jobs and home, before being found innocent?
The left is too busy correcting pronouns.
