Seems a bit like the cruel work of White Citizens Councils in the 1960s, when they’d tempt black residents with the promise of jobs and ship them off to the north to get back at liberals involved in the civil rights movement.

Of course there are people that do. I agree that it is unfair that the border states have to bear the brunt of this, but they are border states where people are trying to cross the border for a better life. Meanwhile, one side wants to allow everyone in and the other wants Mexico to build a wall (and not give the "Dreamers" a path to citizenship) and neither wants to budge. So the status quo remains where no one is happy and people die in trailers. Meanwhile, we do not have enough workers at McDonald's, etc. etc.

I thought I heard the agents were exonerated in the whipping case.

The "Right" seems to have the outrage wrong from what I have seen. The "outrage" isn't that these people are being brought to Chicago or Martha's Vineyard. The "outrage" is that there has been no government coordination and these people are being lied to so they get on the bus or the plane. We all know this is a PR stunt to own the libs and not an effort to try and resolve anything. The non-crazy GOP governor of Massachusetts seems to have his act together and has done a decent job handling the situation there.

It shouldn't be that difficult to accomodate the migrants, including the dreamers, who were here vefore Jan 20, 2021. Opening the back door, and saying c'mon in thru the back door only, and then fly a bunch to Jacksonville in the middle of the night may have not been the best tactic.

The whippers were exonerated, but the imposition of possible penalties was still on the table when they were exonerated.

Seeking asylum is one thing.
How many of the migrants heard 'the door is open, c'mon in if you want a better life ?

The Venezualans are 'said' to be fleeing Maduro, yet POTUS would have been happy to buy dirty oil from Maduro.

Of course big penalties were threatened given the allegations. Works the same way for cops, etc.

Central and South America have gone to complete shit because we stopped with the Monroe Doctrine and the "He may be a son of a bitch, but he's our son of a bitch" stuff and the people there are the ones paying a terrible price for it. If Sleepy Joe is cognizant enough to do business with Maduro to try and influence things down there, good. I am skeptical that would be the reason, but would be happy.

It sounds like the AG's office has been slow investigating (as was alleged in the article). Possibly to distance the investigation from Sleepy Joe's intemperate comments?

There is still not definitive ruling on the other issues raised in that article that remained outstanding.

I have to laugh. I wonder if said contractor was as concerned with the January 6th Insurrection, Trump's stealing of government records, including, it appears, nuclear secrets, or Tucker Carlson's support for our enemies as he was with a bunch of migrants being flown to NY.

Maybe Tucker Carlson should focus more on helping his buddy Putin find more bodies to go to Ukraine and then drop their guns when fleeing. Talk about betraying the American People.....
