So you’re saying it’s ok and trying to justify it in that instance and saying it’s “just American politics,” and then turning around and doing the complete opposite in the other instance. All based on your political views and motives. Kewl.
Are you projecting? Did you think years of hearings into whitewater, the travel office, FBI files, bimbo eruptions, Benghazi and so on were kewl? I did at the time, but got burnt out.
It is just American politics. The Dems threw all those ethics charges against Gingrich before something vague stuck. His eventual replacement turned out to be a pedophile.
I once thought it started with Gary Hart, but it goes back to the founders. Election of 1800, John Adams allegedly called Thomas Jefferson “a mean-spirited, low-lived fellow, the son of a half-breed Indian squaw;" while Jefferson said Adams was a "hideous hermaphroditic character with neither the force and fitness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensibility of a woman.”
They were actually friends too. It got personal between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton.
