You haven't seen any Biden signs for one reason.

Nevada is not a swing state.

I almost never see any Presidential general election stuff in CA. When we went to Carson City in 2008, every single lawn had a sign up. I learned this was in large part to keep canvassers from going to your door - including people who had put McCain signs up despite being Democrats because they found out that OFA was telling canvassers to skip houses with McCain signs, and McCain's feeble ground team wasn't going to add you to their canvassing list just because you had a sign.

If you aren't seeing signs now, it's because Nevada is uncontested and they aren't sending materials there unless you donate a decent chunk of money.

I think we all know that yard signs in Presidential elections don’t mean as much today as they did 50 years ago.  However, I think the Trump yard signs were very effective in 2016 election.   They helped normalize support for his campaign in many communities, particularly during the primaries.   They also helped identify volunteers to do the more important work like phone banking and canvassing.

You don't identify the volunteers by the lawn signs - they volunteer first and they send you a sign if you either live in a swing state or you give a lot of money.

If you wanted an Obama sign in California, you had to buy it. If you wanted one in Nevada, they'd deliver it to you and install it.

As for Nevada being a swing state - Obama won it by 13 points over McCain, and by 8 over Romney who is Mormon and ran much stronger on the East side and places like Jackpot. Clinton won by 2.5 but Biden will go back to Obama numbers.

Because I was in Iowa on the weekend before its caucus, I was able to gather 4 Booty Judge yard signs. (THey would have been $20 each from the online store.)

I selected a really shitty hosting service that can’t properly perform a run of the mill monthly payment.

I also submit that anyone that doesn’t like this forum is more than welcome to start their own forum.

I agree with this take.  Times have changed.  Right now, we're so polarized that it's not worth losing a good neighbor just to put up a Biden or Trump sign.  They already know who you're voting for but don't want it rubbed in.  Very sad but true.

I can’t recall why I chose this particular host. But their payment system is brutal. It triggers fraud alerts on my cards and crashes when I try to manually enter it. I tried about 8-10 times before I finally gave up and used the PayPal option which was successful.

Oddly the PayPal option didn’t take any money out of the PayPal account, it debited the money from my debit card which is one of the cards that wouldn’t process manually. 🤷🏻‍♂️
