I don't really want to live in a world where the government is telling me what to wear, but maybe thats just my hot take *shrug*
I would like to not live in that world either, but in the real world, people equate lifesaving mask wearing with being marched off to the gas chambers. When people can make reasonable decisions that don’t put innumerable lives at risk, the government won’t have to tell them what to wear any more.
Oh yeah, I know, people are just too stupid to make their own decisions
Many times they're confused and misinformed. We've heard similar arguments against seat belts, hard hats, helmets for bikes, skiing, and motorcycles, hearing protection, safety glasses/goggles, PPE for medical procedures, lead vests for radiation and many others for decades. Your urologist didn't use to wear gloves! No one's complaining about these protections now except the Mensa group in Sturgis.
