I use a knife and fork for pizza all the time. Especially shitty pizza like Papa John’s so I can completely encapsulate it with garlic butter before putting it in my mouth.

Hmm. Reading that seems to be an implication that the least backwards part of Illinois is Chicago, and the further downstate you get, the more screwed up Illinois gets. Matches my experience but seems to contradict the Falun Gong narrative.

So Danville is a rural town in southern IL?

Going back in time is not really a bad concept in some ways to some conservatives. Some miss some aspects of the goodle days. Like small towns with a sense of community and thriving businesses other than meth labs.

Is the author blaming excessive taxation, a lack of full time fire departments, or both?

Off hand, I am thinking Missouri might be better at tourism. They have popular places like Branson, Silver Dollar City, Meramec Caverns, Hannibal, Lake of the Ozarks ...

Tennessee is historically good at tourism too. People flock to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood ...
