Hypothetical. Suppose we gave the local indigenous inhabitants autonomy over what happens to the rain forests. They can preserve them and return to / continue their traditional lifestyle. Or they can sell out to the loggers; Use the money to adopt a wealthy materialistic life style. What happens?
