They are flip sides of the same coin. Not much difference between the Trumpers and the Progressives.

He and I have been having this “discussion” for years. Good luck.

I have even conceded that there is some degree of crossover, but he loves his “same coin” meme. He thinks it’s clever and insightful.

One actual way they are similar: both sides tired of “establishment,” more specifically corporate driven politics.

Another (much smaller) way they can be the “same.” If you take the extremists from both sides, they both might be open to same tactics (stripping freedoms). However, PAMan seems to think the fringe elements are mainstream within their movements. He sees no difference between Bernie Sanders/AOC and Fidel Castro.

They both love gerrymandering, usurping power while subverting democracy, thought policing and censorship, protecting fraud and criminality by their compatriots, form over substance, destroying the Constitution for their ends, central planning, gaming outcomes instead of equal opportunity, shall I go on?
