Not a chance. The people in Maine are sick of Trump, and worried about the Supreme Court. They will vote in a stale onion over Collins. It has nothing to do with the actual candidates.

I see it differently.  Platner was leading Mills by double digits in polling.  This isn't just about progressives having their way.  I think Platner is a bad candidate, but something larger is driving Democratic voters this election cycle. 

They're in a restless mood and seem to want candidates who are younger, sharper and more forceful.  Mills reminded them too much of Biden, basically an extension of the status quo.  They want to move on.
