Getting a good amount of enjoyment watching the mental gymnastics required to take the side of drug runners.

“But this won’t do anything about drug abuse issues!!!”

When the drug runners are dead and the drugs aren’t entering the country, it’s going to be pretty tough to get drugs. Guessing it’s going to get tougher and tougher to get these bad hombres to keep running these boats when they’re consistently getting blown out of the water.

The leftist “legalize everything” experiments didn’t work. Social programs to address drug abuse don’t work that well when the nation is awash with cheap, plentiful drugs.

Working to simultaneously curb demand AND supply is just common sense. I suspect a lot of the outrage on the left right now is less about these drug runners’ due process and more about their drug supply drying up.

There is a very easy way to avoid overdosing on drugs.

Why is it that we can’t provide food stamps because we expect that people should feed themselves, but we need to nuke boats in a ridiculous attempt to protect people who can’t stop snorting fentanyl ?

Every drug interdiction is followed by a new drug path or a new drug. Frequently that drug is produced and sold legally by large GOP donors Ref; Sackler, Richard


Or Ross Ulbrict - pretty much the largest drug trade facilitator in US history. Captured, tried, sent to prison… and pardoned by Trump

Weird false equivalency, but we’ve grown accustomed to you siding with the drug runners.

We do provide food stamps, and lots of them. Having a nation awash in cheap, plentiful drugs is not a good thing. People hate their lives, they start using and feel better for a while, then it consumes them and ruins their lives.

The left’s stance that we should just let drug trade happen is indefensible, but here you are. Lucky for you, you’ll still be able to afford your drug(s) of choice even when the supply dwindles!

You are basically saying that Due Process of Law is taking the side of criminals.

I could rest my case right there.

Let's do away with warrants, evidence, and trials. Anyone accused of a crime is automatically guilty. Law enforcement arrests them, punishes them, and destroys any evidence.

Not to.mention that we have fought the War on Drugs for more than 50 years and it's been a dismal failure. Nothing good has come from it. Lots of bad has come from it. We have surrendered our civil liberties for what?

The illegal drug trade finance criminal cartels and massive official corruption..

The black markets actually contribute to  overdoses, because street drugs are not controlled for purity and potency.

I mean, there was completely fabricated documentation and such that was presented as actual reporting/evidence at Trump’s expense, which is pretty much exactly what a hoax is.

I think it might be more accurate for you to say you prefer to keep your head buried in the sand because it is preferable to facing the facts. It’s never been more clear that people are going to believe what they want to believe, even with the flimsiest of evidence.

I don’t think I believe the rules being applied to foreign drug smuggling scum is just going to spill over to all aspects of American life.

And I don’t share your view that the answer is to legalize and regulate. The war on drugs was never fought properly to begin with. It was more like a skirmish on drugs.

Trump is actually using the military and sending a strong message, but you don’t like that because it’s Trump and you’d rather side with the narco terrorists than him. You have a pretty long history of defending criminals, especially if they’re “minorities”, so your stance is unsurprising I suppose.

The strong message Trump is sending is incompetency. Along with continued total disregard for the rule of law.

Trump has already set aside due process in his war on brown skinned immigrants; including many who were/are here legally via various programs.

Trump.hsd also promised to use similar terrorist tactics (like bombing the boats) against drug dealers on US soil.
