People who are pissed off don't vote *for* anyone. They vote *against* the status quo. I mean, Squad Wannabees aren't any more or less crazy than what we have now

My guess is 20%—25% of the people who voted for Trump in contested states (particularly those who held their noses) don’t know who Brandon Johnson is.  Nor have they heard that much about the squad. 

The Dems lost on inflation in 2024 and enough bought that Trump was going to deal with it.  Instead, he spent most of his time on tariff bs, which has begun to raise prices.  Remember everybody under Biden was talking about the price of eggs? Now they are talking about the price of coffee, beef and a whole range of products.  Reports are now that we will see even higher prices next year as more of the tariffs take effect.  Trump promised to bring down prices "on day one" but the American people haven't seen it and certainly don't feel it.

Eventually we will see some cracks even among the MAGAs if prices keep going up and many of them lose health insurance.  I believe 2026 is going to be a referendum on Trump and Trump fatigue will be very high.

the secret sauce is to put tariffs on, prices jump 20%, THEN remove them, prices go down 15%, and point to how you've lowered prices!
