I goggled this guy's name in the Star Tribune archives. He got a mention in February. But to be fair, their search engine sucks.
The "non-profit" 😂😂 was founded by a Minneapolis City Council member. The "non-profit" had no employees, no office or apparent activity.
Then a senior policy advisor for the Mayor, yes he was also the mayor for the 2020 summer of love, took it over. He got fired by the mayor when the mayor found out and it was turned over to Artan.
The Feb article does say that the Dept of non-Education changed the rules in 2020 over fears of possible fraud in the food distribution program. So they took it away from for profits to give it to "non-profits."
That move has worked so well that the US Attorney's office just said that the dollar amount of fraud may be double the $250 million and only 1/4 of those involved may be charged due to lack of resources.
Start up a "non-profit", use all of the nicely worded verbiage in your mission statement and taxpayer money flows and you too can buy bars, homes, vehicles, go on fancy vacations or do whatever you want with your newly found cash.
Imho, Walz should never be allowed near a school job or in the public sector.

Did they also have a story about the 18 year olds going to H.S. graduation ceremonies with machine guns ? There are 4 of them and 1 was released with no charges filed after he was stopped with a gun. He was arrested the next day after a shooting outside of a high school graduation.
