Bottom line - the tariffs are going to be split between consumers and Wal-Mart, which cuts Wal-Mart's bottom line and either comes out of employee compensation or the stock price. Either way - all of the tariffs will be paid for by Americans, not China. How Harris did not prosecute this case beggars all belief.

From the right-wing rag National Review. Even they concede inflation was the death-blow. Yes, they mention some of the other reasons, but inflation was the main reason the Dems lost. The border probably second.

While a lot of Trump supporters (Mn cough cough) are super fucking racist, a lot of racism pretty much comes from needing someone to blame for their woes, whether externally caused or self inflicted (Custard cough cough).

The whole border shit is a joke. Plenty of illegals in California, have been forever. Among quality of life or economic issues, that's a completely trivial component of any problems we may or may not have. Maybe other states are less adept at dealing with it, but frankly the border is a made up boogeyman compared to tariffs, FEMA not being functional, etc...

Trump supporters have lost more money to his meme coin scams than the border
