It took 16 years for Democrats to recover. They did with a carefully orchestrated campaign to (1) Smear the elder Bush and (2) Defend Bill Clinton

Biden got blamed for the post pandemic inflation that was aggravated by Trump's trade policies. Even Democrats blame Biden for making it worse. He also got blamed for the border crisis he inherited.

Trump is a nasty, not very popular nationalist who governs via threats and intimidation.

Perceptions trump facts. I will admit it's's best to move on and let scholars correct the history concerning inflation and immigration.

Yeah, I’m not sure that’s what he’s saying. What I read is that the elites are too entrenched and Biden got into trouble by trying to be all things to all people (including his corporate owners). If you think I prioritize pronouns over dinner table issues, you’re sadly mistaken.
