I would also sell that the Republicans have simply become too conservative for America. It is more complex than that, but K.I.S.S.

I'd make it a central theme that current Republicans are extremists.

Carville is still holding a grudge for Obama leapfrogging Hillary in 2008.  He's also been on the losing side in several recent campaigns.  I think Carville would be an asset to Biden, but my gut feeling is he'd probably prefer being a political pundit on radio and TV.

What does inflation have to do with recession?

Inflation was a post pandemic supply chain issue. Now it's turning into price gouging.

It appears the Biden administration is taking action. What can they do despite resistance from the right?

Better messaging would certainly help.

As you note, certain prices never came back down. Plus now it costs too much for people to eat at McDonald's. That is most of the reason people are bitching about the economy.
