The 53% approval of Republicans likely means significant numbers of independents are probably influenced by immigration and egg prices. However, they apparently aren't liking what they see from Trump.

The weak approval of Dems seems to indicate they've lost the independents and probably some Dems.

Meanwhile, Trump polls are weak, but not weak enough. He is not gaining Democrats and is losing independents. But, he remains strong with Republicans.

OTOH, the President is weak on some wedge issues -- Musk, his cabinet picks, Greenland, Gulf of America, Mar-a-Gaza ...

MSNBC is hinting they need to get more progressive to arouse younger voters.

Shocker MSNBC says they should be more progressive. Yet no one is watching MSNBC. And those voters who went for Trump actually want someone who is more "progressive"? Yes, the country wants more AOC and The Squad. That is an interesting take.

Here is the thing: What has Trump done that impacts the average person (yet)? I'd say nothing. (But not for trying.)

1. Sorry no one gives a fuck about government bureaucrats (sorry Judge Judy!). People are happy they are getting fucked over. (For now. Until it actually impacts them.)

2. Cutting off clean water to African kids is not impacting voters. Sorry. African kids picking up guns and shooting each other due to a lack of fresh water resources will not impact voters either. Sorry.

3. The shutting down Medicare had a chance to be a polarizing issue that impacts people. Yet, the courts shut that down quickly and prevented it from having an impact except for the bellyaching from providers and States.

4. Most Americans don't give a shit about Gaza and do not think it is a bad idea to move those terrorist supporting scum out of there. I am sure most of them think it would be great if Trump opened hotels there as it would end the endless back-and-forth. It isn't going to happen, but hey, it is something different.

5. Tariffs haven't made an impact. Yet.

6. Deporting illegals remains popular.

7. Deporting whiny-assed college students always remains popular, even if illegal.

Yes, people do not like Musk. Not enough to actually do anything about it despite what they are doing is "illegal," but the Trump sycophants are in control of Congress. Not much the Dems can do.

So you vote against Kennedy and Tulsi? Whoop di doo! So then he may actually nominate people like the Holman guy who get his shit done? Ok. Woo hoo. Job well done then!

Let me know when he does shit that actually impacts your actual every day life. Not Twitter or MSNBC every day life bullshit. It will happen, but I do not think we are there yet. Until then, odds are he is going to proceed to put things into place that will eventually fuck every day things up. Nothing else you can do until then.

The Dems need people in place that project some level of competence and an actual clear agenda besides kowtowing to progressive nonsense that alienates more people than it attracts. It shouldn’t be that difficult, yet here we are. The last four years “radicalized” a lot of independents.

Hakeem Jeffries isn't white but he's very competent.

FOX and Trump did a great job of branding here. Somehow "The Squad", who made a lot of noise but didn't actually change anything, and wouldn't have during a Harris administration, are the Deep State. But MTG, Boebert, Gosar, Jordan, Gaetz etc... did manage to oust the Speaker of the House, but there isn't the same level of demonization.
