We had guns for 220 years and school shootings weren’t an issue, then we started prescribing psychiatric meds to kids willy-nilly in the 90s with minimal professional oversight or understanding of their long term effects, and schools started getting shot up.

The answer I’ve seen here is “It’s easier to take away guns than address mental illness”

Not sure that’s true.
