Doubt everyone thinks we need to pay for access to yoga in middle and high schools (which is actually a new Illinois law for 1/1/25).
"...would provide instruction for school districts on
relaxation activities, such as yoga or meditation, once a week for 20 minutes, in addition to recess, to enhance physical and emotional health."
It appears community based groups will provide the instruction.
That sounds like a good start. Not much you can do to indoctrinate kids in 20 minutes a week. /s
Give the better groups 20 minutes a day, they will produce some results.
Some parents might object. Maybe just post the Ten Commandments.
8 limb yoga:
1. Moral restraint
2. Moral observance
3. Postures
4. Breath control
5. Sense withdrawal
6. Focused concentration
7. Meditative absorption
8. Bliss/ Ecstacy
Buddhist Meditation
1. 4-fold right effort
2. Right Mindfulness

This isn't just about relaxation and relief from stress. It's emotional development, enhanced powers of observation, improved cognitive skills.
