OPPONENT: Sparty
WHERE: Champaign
TV: BTN (BOOOOOOO) - Cory Provus (play-by-play), Matt Millen
(analyst) and Elise Menaker (reporter)
ODDS: Started o/u 46½ and Illini -13. With MSU suspensions and criminal investigations, it is now o/u 43½ - 42½ and Illini -16½! Hmmm. Currently the weather claims there will be south winds 20 to 30mph. Seems like there will be a lot of runs to burn clock when heading South.

Great write up. Hopefully we throttle these punks and stay healthy for a big matchup with Purdont the following week. Hoping Purdue loses to Iowa this weekend to give us some breathing room. Although it would be more fun to have the game on the 12th basically be for the B1G West championship.

I looked at the preview in FightingIllini.com yesterday.
For most of us, the "Notes" section is worth a read.

The Nebraska announcers talked about Witherspoon's NFL chances. So ......

We got a commitment from the unranked CB at the end of July, 2019. He showed up in C-U 4 days before fall camp and played in the opener.
From there .....
Played in all 13 games and started three at cornerback
33 tackles, two PBUs on the season
Led the team in special teams tackles (13)
Led the team in kickoff tackles (11)
Only true freshman defender to start a game for Illinois in 2019
Chase-down tackle at the goal line in the fourth quarter vs. No. 6 Wisconsin 10/19/19 led to goal-line stop to help Illinois win 24-23 and complete one of the biggest upsets in Big Ten history
