Not my work, but makes good points. Someone blamed the homeless for fucking up the cities,. Andreas replied;

Inflation is down. It's not because the fed was bullied into bull spit interest rate hikes. It turns out, inflation was transitory after all. Transitory is terms of temporary, just not brief.

The Covid related supply chains were part of it,  among other transient factors. Also wage corrections due to labor shortages. Hopefully, livable wages become a new norm.

Is that really straw? He is not twisting what Nichi said and arguing against that as opposed to asking him a quasi topical question that he knows the answer to.

That is an absurd question. I am not proposing that private enterprise and free markets should solve this. That has been tried and failed. I believe the government(s) take care of the homeless. If you disagree; then you should shelter them.

Same with healthcare. If you oppose universal healthcare; then you should take care of the uninsured, not I.

Stop with the FNC nonsense and use your head.

If you feel that way; then you should take care of the homeless. I don't trust the private sector to solve it. It's a problem that requires central planning.

And no. Taking homes from those who have them does not help the homeless. That is an idiotic idea.

I believe private sector and free markets should be the default setting. When that fails, go to collective action and central planning.

I was riding the bus the other day with a mentally ill homeless man. I felt sorry for him, but was also concerned for the safety of myself and others. Providing him shelter would not help. He needs detox and long term mental healthcare. That is the taxpayers' collective responsibility.
