I couldn't find an answer for Illinois or Minnesota, but it appears that Minnesota is aware of concerns over facilities receiving Medicare and Medicaid federal funding and the federal controlled drug status of marijuana.
One would think they would hate to jeopardize that funding over a few individuals and their medical marijuana use.
Out of the 5 votes over Fla SB 210, 3 committee votes and house and senate votes, the vote total was 198 to 1.

The brouhaha just might be a hit piece on DeSantis rather than the issue of federal funding and it's position with respect to federal classifications of marijuana.

I’m shocked, absolutely SHOCKED that left wing supporters of the nanny state have a strong distaste for libertarianism. Libertarianism is the direct enemy of the establishment and toxic two party system, OF COURSE most people hate it.

Humans aren’t evolved enough for true libertarianism to actually work, but it still cracks me up how visceral the reactions are from both sides.

A few things that work better with central planning: healthcare, transportation, education, helping the homeless, law enforcement, national defense ...

Free markets are largely a myth anyway. Capitalism tends toward monopoly-ism;  central planning by the rich for the rich.

 I don’t think Custard has a clue about the critical role the federal government played in bringing electricity, flood control, recreation and economic development to Tennessee and six other states in the rural South.  But he’s certainly enjoying the fruits of that labor.

The eight-count indictment unsealed Monday charges Luft with offenses related to willfully failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, arms trafficking, Iranian sanctions violations and making false statements to federal agents.  He was arrested on February 17 in Cyprus based on the U.S. charges but subsequently fled after being released on bail while extradition proceedings were pending and remains a fugitive, the Justice Department said in a news release late Monday announcing his indictment.
