"Progressive" is used so differently by so many Democrats that you should just ignore the term. The "Progressive" wing in SF put a lot of muscle behind blocking housing development that would lower prices for renters and buyers across the board. They make all sorts of fake noise that they would allow the development if it were 100% affordable, but only because they know it would make the development not pencil out and never happen, because that's what they really want. Which isn't progressive at all. They then get really aggro about protecting tenants, but eventually the tenants will die and each freed up unit will be sold for big bucks to a Facebooker. Pay me now, or pay me later.

Pelosi can be called a progressive by some, whereas a lot of back patting progressives say she's just to the left of Trump.

Throw out the labels and look at the policies.
