I agree it was was a planned insurrection. Planned by Donald Trump and his henchmen like Roger Stone, Alex Jones, Steve Bannon ...

The people in charge of security obviously underestimated the threat posed by Trump himself and his followers.  20:20 hindsight.

Jan 6 wasn't Trump's fault. It was whoever was in charge of security's fault.

Trump didn't abuse his power. He got caught before he could follow through.

That kind of reasoning might be funny if it weren't so depraved.

Once upon a time, in the days of the late Tony Snow, Fox News talked intelligently about  ideas and reported on actual events. Now they gossip about people and aren't even good at it. Lucky for them,  their audience isn't very discerning and has barely progressed beyond poopy butt humor, if it all.

I don't like to brag, but for a lifelong Republican I was AOTC on Trump. I actually tried to support him, but he was clearly a con from the start.
