Nobody said it was absolute. Just that no amendment deals with "driving a car" while there is one that deals with the right to bear arms. The equating of the 2A to "driving a car" etc. is what ends up causing reasonable individuals from ever trusting that gun control efforts in the USA will not wind up again with grabbing the guns of law-abiding citizens while the bad guys still get their illegaly. Gun control advocates replied fine; let's require training, written tests, practical tests, licensing, and liability insurance to keep and bear arms.
