A teacher propped the door open that the shooter used to gain access.

Commander on site decided to wait for more help / equipment while children bled out.

Might as well defund the police. They had plenty of money and still fucked this up.

Arm the teachers? Trained cops can't even figure this out. Protecting schools in a country with this many guns is impossible.
Two choices. Fewer guns, or accept the school shootings.

Nobody said it was absolute. Just that no amendment deals with "driving a car" while there is one that deals with the right to bear arms. The equating of the 2A to "driving a car" etc. is what ends up causing reasonable individuals from ever trusting that gun control efforts in the USA will not wind up again with grabbing the guns of law-abiding citizens while the bad guys still get their illegaly. See Mr. McDonald from the South Side (I believe) of Chicago.

This started because guns rights advocates pointed out auto accidents kill lots of people, yet nobody except Algore talks about banning cars.

I'm not sure where it started, but the failure to understand that there is a specific amendment, versus whatever analogy where there is no amendment, plus the fact there have been communities that have banned "guns" , and you get where we are.
