Colorado GOP Gov candidate Victor Marx's campaign did not respond to our questions about his self-described demon hunting. Our report was based on 100+ hours of his public comments over 20 years.

For the sake of transparency, here are the questions that the Marx campaign did not answer:

What year (approximate is fine) did Victor first perform what he now calls the retooling prayer?

What was the origin of the name? Did Victor invent the name or was it borrowed from someone else? I notice it was used in 2015-2016 around the same time as Victor's retooled self defense classes.

Roughly how many retooling sessions has ATP been involved in? Roughly how many has Victor performed personally?

Victor often speaks of a retooling session at a correctional facility in Texas where guards left Victor alone in a cell with a detained minor girl. At which facility and in which year did this occur?

Victor has spoken about performing the retooling prayer on a number of children. Does ATP have a written policy on parental consent - and who consented to Victor's encounter with the 15-year-old girl detained in Texas?

Would you be willing to provide a copy of the ATP booklet on the retooling prayer? Is that booklet still distributed?

The Michigan AG, Democrat and Jewish lesbian, will not attend the state Democrat convention because she does not feel safe from party members.
Another Wisconsin Gov candidate dropped out of the race, clearing the path for a socialist to receive the party nomination and the Gov office.

It's a big tent.

Why the Terms Get Mixed Up:

High-profile American politicians often label themselves as "democratic socialists" while campaigning for standard social-democratic policies like universal healthcare and childcare.

Because the U.S. has little history of a true anti-capitalist left, the public and the media frequently use "democratic socialism" and "social democracy" to mean the exact same thing: a stronger social safety net.

I might believe this when DSA members all lose in elections.
Or when the "progressives" stop at universal health and childcare.

Minnesota is projected to lose money in its 1st year of paid family leave, says it will not raise paid family leave taxes for next year and projects a larger loss in 2027.

Using the word socialist might be a loser in the near term, but framing things from an extreme perspective is often used as a long-term strategy. By doing this you make a slightly more moderate position more appealing.

“Defund Ice!” - “You know, seems like this whole ICE thing might be going a bit too far.”

“Democratic Socialist!” - “I agree with some of the platform, but maybe a “progressive” like Ro Khanna or Elizabeth Warren is a good compromise.”

Until eventually the word socialism doesn’t even evoke any strong emotion.
