Allegations from anonymous sources are a dollar a dozen. They used to be a dime a dozen, but Bidenomics.
These people should at least read part of the police report from the 2017 story before going to the media and saying 'he's doomed but I haven't read the report.'

He hasn’t been charged with a crime. There is no such thing as “due process” in a confirmation hearing.

You want to be Secretary of Defense? A *whiff* of anything is a no go. The vote isn’t being made by 150 million Randos. It’s 100 senators.

It’s a job interview not a trial. I’ve passed on candidates for using iterative solutions that worked bevause a recursive solution would be more obvious and performant.

It’s too much of a risk to have a SecDef with a reputation for being a frat boy past the age of 25

Custard and 97 should let us know if we should start an X2 GoFundMe for them. It is the holiday season!

There’s one right here in the hoops forum. Donate early and often!

Now we know why!

Yep.
And when she gets primaried in 2026 she can go looking for work at Boeing or Raytheon or

McDonalds.

Just a reminder, the currrent Commander in Chief apparently had no idea that the current SecDef was missing for a week.

What a load of BS. More Latinos voted for Trump this cycle because the majority of them are in favor of border security and immigration reform.

"With 99% of the votes counted, Trump won Starr County in South Central Texas with about 57.7% of the vote, according to AP estimates, ending the county’s 132-year streak in past presidential elections of voting Democratic."
https://www.ksat.com/news/local/2024/11/06/starr-county-flips-red-for-the-first-time-in-over-100-years/

Starr County was 97% Hispanic or Latino in the 2020 census.

"The former president captured 55% of Latino voters in the state, according to exit polls. He also won 14 out of the 18 counties within 20 miles of the border, a number that doubled his 2020 performance in the Latino-majority region."

Everyone wants immigration reform and better border security. There are disagreements on the best ways to achieve that.

Also, when an administration:

*opposes birthright citizenship
*uses studies from a far right anti-immigrant hate group
*doesn't seem to think current immigration laws apply to their friends and family
*has talked about reversing naturalizations

It is fair to question their true motives.

A lot people voted against their interests. That is the point.  They think Trump will go after those other people. We shall see.

It’s possible those people know their own interests very well and aren’t ideologically captured by the 24/7 Trump Fear Porn cycle in the news.

It's also possible that they, like a lot of middle to lower class people vote against their own self-interests.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Or, they aren't voting against their self interest since those who have been coming over the border would compete for their jobs, and lower their wages, since they will not be taking the jobs of lawyers, educators,  etc. etc.

Does that include the 50 year old women voting for the pro-abortion candidate ?

This isn’t news.  Latinos have been gravitating to the GOP over the past 10-20 years, particularly in the Texas border areas and south Florida.  This year Trump did well with Latino men and the south, while Harris performed best with Latino women and older voters in urban areas.

What is the lesson for both political parties:  the Latino voting block is not homogeneous.  It’s growing and complex, spanning geography, backgrounds and socioeconomics.  If you look at polling data, you’ll find that Latinos in general tend to prioritize the economy first, but will vary on issues like immigration, health care, crime, and gun policy.

You did mention something about voting against self-interests.
