Apparently the 1st email from his Mom to him was also sent to his ex-wife.

Did the NYT contact the ex -wife in the hope of running a hit piece ?
Did Pete's Mom get the 'this is what we're going to write. If we don't hear from you, we're going ahead with it.'

And that's how the 'if you print it I'll deny it' responses come in.

Allegations from anonymous sources are a dollar a dozen. They used to be a dime a dozen, but Bidenomics.
These people should at least read part of the police report from the 2017 story before going to the media and saying 'he's doomed but I haven't read the report.'
