Germany and most of the rest of Europe has taken an absolutely onslaught of immigrants over the last decade. Lots of people (racists!) aren’t happy about it. Just like here. You probably haven’t seen the protests because MSM isn’t showing them. They aren’t seeking articles of our constitution, they’re seeking the opportunities that these economies have created.

They also came largely for economic opportunity. Yes, the Constitution played a role in that, but not many people came here thinking “I gotsta get me some of that freedom of speech and right to remain silent!”

They came here seeking an improved quality of life, and yes, the Constitution did help foster that. As did our liberal immigration policies.

Is that specifically because of their Constitution?

If you're really gonna be honest, if you take a bunch of people, put them in an area that has 1/10th the population density as older developed nations, and the natural resources of that area have not been depleted by the previous inhabitants, you'd have to be complete fuckups not to do well.

Now is U.S. prosperity a byproduct of the Constitution? That can be easily argued a yes, but that’s far from the only reason we’re prosperous, and it isn’t why people are lined up at the border. That’s nonsense.
