Thought Hamas did not care about Gazans since they want them to die for PR purposes? Wouldn't the whole human shield thing would play right into their hands?

How do you know the person is injured? Could be a prisoner and there is no room in the Hummers to transport him.

Maybe @Army4Palestine has more reporting on this.

Lots of news outlets reported on this. Including, NBC, Haaretz, BBC, and The Guardian. This man isn’t even a Gazan. This happened in the West Bank.

Ok, let's see some links. Are they reporting on someone on The Twotter saying "xyz" (which is the laziness that reporting has devolved into these days) or are they doing some firsthand reporting? I'll take links for the latter, not the former.
