40% of corn being grown on that really good farmland is being used for ethanol that we put into cars. So if instead we put a windmill up and produce electricity that goes into cars...

I don't know the net net on energy production per acre of windmill vs corn->ethanol, but the windmill escapes a lot of crappy effects of dumping all that fertilizer on the ground and then into the waterways, and uses a lot less water.

And a lot of the rest of that corn goes into animal feed which isn't super efficient either. That really good farmland is already being wasted.

“They don’t give a shit.” Is not the point. The International Community does. Or I guess we wasted our time setting up post World War II safeguards. I’ve never once said that the Palestinians don’t have their own issues to work through.

Maybe they'll figure out how to make small, modular units work cost-effectively, but the large, centralized nuke plants have gone from being too cheap to meter to too expensive to matter. 

The thing propping up existing nukes in IL and a few other states is a carbon tax on electricity usage that also funds renewable energy projects.

The result of a unholy alliance between Pritzker, enviro groups, labor unions and the two largest public utilities in the state.
